Ideas are powerful. But ideas become transformative when they are lived.
Integral Praxis Press was born from a conviction: truth is meant to be lived.
Across churches, communities, cultures and places of leadership, we have encountered people wrestling with questions that cannot be answered by theory alone. Questions of faith and culture. Leadership and responsibility. Mission and identity. Tradition and transformation. These questions emerge not only in classrooms and libraries, but in conversations, communities, journeys and everyday life.
It was in these spaces that the vision for Integral Praxis Press began to take shape.
Our Founder
Moses M. Phiri

Integral Praxis Press was founded by Moses M. Phiri, a pastor and mission practitioner from Zambia.
His calling began in 2001 at a youth conference in Kabwe. Like the young Samuel, he had heard God’s voice for years without recognising it, and that day he answered. At 21 he was leading a rural congregation, where he learned that truth only transforms when it is taught in ways people can live. That lesson has shaped everything since.
Over more than eighteen years of ministry across Zambia, Zimbabwe, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Uganda, Tanzania and Kenya, he has trained pastors and chaplains, walked alongside traditional leaders, and carried a lasting burden for ministers serving in rural and under-resourced places. His work training chaplains to serve tribal chiefs revealed a gap the Church has often overlooked. That discovery gave rise to Engaging the Throne.
From the field to the page
Our story is rooted in lived experience.
That work has taken us into communities where faith intersects with culture, where leaders carry responsibilities that extend far beyond their formal titles, and where the realities of everyday life challenge simple answers.
These encounters have taught us something important:
Some of the most important knowledge is found where life is actually being lived.
The stories, insights, struggles and discoveries that emerge from these places deserve to be preserved, examined and shared.
Integral Praxis Press exists to give such ideas a place to speak.
Why “Integral Praxis”?

The word praxis points to the meeting place between what we believe and how we live. For us, that distinction matters.
Faith must engage life.
Knowledge must become practice.
Leadership must carry responsibility.
Ideas must encounter reality.
And transformation must reach more than the mind. It must touch character, relationships, leadership and communities.
That is why our vision is integral. We are interested in the whole person and the whole of life.
What we publish
Our books grow from this conviction.
We publish works grounded in theological depth and expressed through practical application. We explore questions of faith, theology, culture, leadership, mission, society and lived experience.
Some works may challenge familiar assumptions or preserve knowledge that might otherwise be forgotten. Others may offer practical frameworks for people serving in churches, communities and places of leadership, or simply invite the reader to stop, think and see something differently.
But beneath them all is one desire: to move truth from the page into life.
A publishing house with a purpose
Integral Praxis Press is not simply interested in producing books.
We want to contribute to conversations that matter. We want to create space for voices and experiences that deserve to be heard. We want to connect reflection with practice, faith with culture, knowledge with responsibility, and ideas with the realities people face every day.
Our hope is that what begins as a book will become a conversation.
That a conversation will become reflection.
That reflection will become practice.
And that practice will contribute to transformation.
The journey continues

Our first titles are part of a much larger journey. They emerge from experiences already lived and from questions that continue to demand thoughtful engagement.
Engaging the Throne: Bridging the Gap Between the Church, Culture and Traditional Authority grew out of encounters at the intersection of the Church, culture and traditional authority. In many communities, those who hold traditional authority are among the most influential people, and among the least truly reached. The book represents one expression of our desire to explore realities that are often misunderstood, neglected or left unexplored.

Other stories and ideas will follow. Some will come from the field, some from years of ministry, some from careful study and reflection, and some from the questions that refuse to go away.
Together, they form the continuing story of Integral Praxis Press.
